Central Park is going to get turned into a massive concert this summer!
A source has revealed that the Black Eyed Peas are planning a show in Central Park on June 9.
Said the source:
"The concert has been set up with Mayor Bloomberg's office. They want it to rival the concert that Simon & Garfunkel did in Central Park."
Simon and Garfunkel put on a free concert there in 1981 — 500,000 people showed up.
This would be totes awesome!

Okay, so there are a handful of celebrities we could say "this is the year of" with. Adele, Ryan Gosling, Melissa McCarthy, Katy Perry…

Now that is a set of pipes!
As we reported yesterday, Nicole Scherzinger was invited to perform at the Royal Variety Performance as part of a tribute to the longest running Broadway show in history, The Phantom Of The Opera.
Along with four of the most acclaimed Phantoms - Simon Bowman, Earl Carpenter,John Owen-Jones and the yummy Ramin Karimloo - she performed the title track from the musical and we'll give her credit, she performed it WELL!
Have a look for yourself in the video (above) and see if you don't agree that Nicole would make a lovely Christine!

Cloverfield Director Snags Gig On New Twilight Zone Remake!
Oh! Inneresting choice!
Matt Reeves, most well-known for Cloverfield and more recently, his US remake of Let The Right One In, has been reportedly tapped by Warner Brothers to helm Jason Rothenberg's adaptation of The Twilight Zone TV series, which is also being produced by Leonardo DiCaprio!
Apparently, the position was seriously in demand by a [...]
We had a lot of trepidations about seeing Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark on Broadway. We had heard so much bad buzz and the show was so fraught with real-life drama, but saw it on Saturday night and....
It was one of the most dazzling theatrical experiences we have ever seen!
And, most of that, we think, can be attributed to the bold and inspired work of Julie Taymor, who also helmed Disney's groundbreaking Lion King stage musical.
EVERYTHING about Spider-Man worked! The music, from Bono and U2, was so beautiful and varied. It was nuanced, passionate, fun and meaningful!
The performances, especially that of Patrick Page as the Green Goblin, were great!
The sets were breathtaking! The stunts were jaw-dropping! The costumes were clever!
But, most importantly, the show was not campy or silly. It had a sense of gravitas. We bought into this world and FELT for the title character.
Plus, Spider-Man gave us a little bit of everything! It had action, romance, drama, science fiction and even comedy!
It was so spectacular!!!!
Can't recommend it enough!!!
The only problem with the show???? It seems like it would be impossible to take on the road and tour the Broadway production!
So see it here - like it's meant to be seen!

WOW! Those girls had a GOOD NIGHT!
Last Wednesday night, if you were taking your clothes off at the Kings of Diamonds strip club in Miami, you went home with a cool $5K in your pocket. According to reports, Chris Brown and Bow Wow were in da club last week and they were so happy with the, um, service, that they tipped their ladies handsomely!
Breezy and Bow gave SEVERAL ladies working the poles $5,000 EACH for entertaining them. They also apparently threw down a lot of $$$ for booze for entourage and rained singles down for HOURS.
Nice to know these guys aren't facing any finical hardships in these uncertain economic times.

Forbes May Strip Bethenny Frankel Of Her Bronze!
Forbes recently released the list of Hollywood's highest earning women, and Bethenny Frankel was number three.
But now, after a storm of accusations claiming the Real Housewives star is a big liar (especially about her income), the business magazine wants to make damn sure their coveted list isn't wrong.
Executive Editor Dan Bigman states:
We're taking [...]
Well this is unsettling!
A small place crashed onto the Florida Turnpike just north of Miami Wednesday!
Luckily, there were only two people aboard. They are both currently in the hospital. Also fortunate is the how the plane didn't hit any cars!
Though it's still unclear why the plane crash, reports suggest a mechanical malfunction. Oooh great!
The video above shows some raw footage of the crash. And it's giving us the heebie-jeebies! We'll be having our fingers crossed on our next flight!
